Established in 1983, Yad Rachel is a unique group of multi-disciplinary professionals, who run a leading network of Educational Therapy Centers and programs that provide children and families at-risk from socio-economically disadvantaged neighborhoods with the tools they need to overcome their educational, emotional and social difficulties. Yad Rachel’s Educational Therapy Centers are located throughout Israel and provide a safe, enriching and experiential space, where each year, children and their families get individually and professionally tailored educational and psychological therapeutic treatment. In addition, we serve children at-risk and their families at our Parent-Child Centers. In these centers we offer psychological counseling and creative therapy for individuals, parent-child pairs, families and groups to foster the family relationship and allow for a positive impact on the child’s development. As part of our therapeutic education centers and in partnership with local schools and the Ministry of Education, we also operate two Literacy Programs, one for young children before entering school and one to improve literacy skills of school age children. The direct result of the treatment philosophy at Yad Rachel is the primary and most fundamental: to train the staff.
