The 890th Battalion is the first battalion of the Paratroopers Brigade (Tzanhanim), one ofthe most emblematic units of the IDF. Founded in 1950, the unit played a key role during the most significant operations in the history of Israel. The 890th Paratroopers Foundation works to maximize the human capital of the Unit’s veterans, empowering them as significant people who influence and lead Israeli society and the Jewish Community worldwide. By establishing a meaningful community around the values of social responsibility and leadership, we take care of veterans with PTSD, help our released soldiers in their life transition from the military, and foster the values and excellence that allow our alumni to have a positive impact on society
