Yetzira Hitpatchutit (The Creative Development Association) was founded to serve as a unique educational/therapeutic model aimed specifically to work with children at risk from infancy, by closing widening social gaps in the periphery of Israeli society and by extricating them from the vicious cycle that exists among this population. We holistically foster children raised in families under dire socio-economic backgrounds and aspire to advance them toward academic excellence and full utilization of their potential and talents. The families we serve must meet a number of criteria including low socio-economic status, a sick parent, and whose parents have not completed high school. The main building blocks of our programs center on learning interpersonal skills, proficiency, adeptness, literacy, and critical thinking beginning from the age of 10 months until the age of 7. Too often, we find ourselves treating and trying to save youth at risk commencing during their teen years, which is important in and of itself.
