Yanuka, established in 2019 in Rechovot, focuses on community and content development projects in both formal and informal educational frameworks and for individuals. Specifically, we work toward elevating the emotional resilience and optimism in children, youth-at-risk from the periphery of the country, and to the general community through the application and methods that comprise the discipline of positive psychology. We see educators’ from the formal and informal fields as a significant and important factor in shaping the next generation, and in every child as a whole. We believe in a supportive community, in generosity, giving without reward, and in the empowerment of children wherever they are because today’s children are the face of tomorrow’s society. Thus, when we were first established, we focused on creating an optimal educational world that respects children wherever they are, so that they can acquire knowledge and gain quality experiences out of curiosity and enthusiasm. We have now expanded upon this after the tragic events of October 7 by placing a heavy emphasis in building community resilience on a number of different levels and across all populations and age groups.
