Yad Tamar was founded in 2009 to provide advice and assistance to cancer patients, their families, and the professionals and volunteers who dedicate days and nights to their welfare. Yad Tamar develops models of community support, drawing on existing infrastructure of family, friends and neighbors, giving them the tools and methods they need to lend a helping hand. Our programs include: -Research and development of support programs -Training and deployment of volunteers to advise patients of their medical rights -Vacation retreats for patients and their families -Benefit programs and retreats for oncology nurses and orderlies
