The Yaacov Herzog Center for Jewish Studies (YHC) has brought value-added Judaic Studies to Israel for over 25 years. We are a Religious Zionist educational center which focuses on bringing different sectors of people in Israel together, from teenagers through senior citizens, with the goal of understanding one another better and cultivating a more respectful society. Our role has become more significant, especially in the current climate, because we are the voice of a more moderate Religious Zionist approach that values humanism, mutual respect, and pluralism. Our projects include Jewish studies programs and Beitei Midrash for both the general public and university students, in-service training for Israeli teachers, “Project Movilim”, which brings together religious and secular teenagers, “Tzahali Academy”- a pre-army preparatory academy for religious Zionist young women, a leadership program to develop moderate religious Zionist young adult activists, women?s studies for both religious and secular women, seminars on Jewish identity for secular teens, and seminars on Humanistic identity for religious teens . In addition, YHC sponsors Jewish-oriented community events.
