Tzavta

Tzavta -the home for Israeli culture, is one of Israel’s most significant cultural institutions, located in the heart of Tel Aviv. Since its founding in 1955, Tzavta has served as a home for bold, critical, and socially engaged Israeli culture, bringing together artists, audiences, activists, and thinkers around the major questions shaping Israeli society. Tzavta’s activity includes theater productions, music, stand-up comedy, political satire, literary events, public conversations, festivals, and multidisciplinary cultural programs. It provides a platform for both established and emerging artists, with a strong commitment to freedom of expression, artistic innovation, democratic values, and public discourse. As Tzavta approaches its 70th anniversary, the institution is renewing its role as a cultural anchor for Israeli democracy and civic life. Through new partnerships, public programs, and special initiatives, Tzavta seeks to connect culture with social responsibility, Jewish and Israeli identity, and the future of liberal public life in Israel. Its work aims not only to present art, but to create a shared space where culture can inspire dialogue, courage, imagination, and civic engagement.
