The organization ‘Tavuna – the path to a Smart economy’ was established with the aim of placing the issue of proper and balanced management of the household and family budget at the top of the agenda of the ultra-Orthodox public, and especially among young couples. The current economic situation among many in the ultra-orthodox public indicates that the management of the family budget is far from balanced. Many are drawn to offers and temptations offered by various interested parties, which cause unnecessary expenses and at the end of the day deep deficits in the family budget. The organization was not established to serve as a substitute for the welfare services or the charity committees, nor to compete with them. The main goal is guidance for the family budget. The organization was founded with the blessing of Gadoli and the Maori Hador of Israel and it is managed under the guidance of the genius rabbis: Rabbi Masoud Ben Shimon of Israel, Rabbi Shariel Rosenberg of Israel and Rabbi Yosef Binyamin Wazner of Israel. Since our inception, we have established working relationships with many of the ultra-Orthodox communities and charitable organizations throughout the country in order to cooperate on this important issue. Our team of lecturers are comprised of carefully selected representatives of communities who undergo a long course for professional training by economists, renowned experts in the field of personal and family economics, the pioneers and leaders of their field in Israel, We hold lectures and workshops in multiple cities, as many as possible in order to draw attention to this ongoing problem. A group of women is also forming to provide workshops for young women and brides. On our website, we also uploaded articles on tips for running a wise budget. In addition, we plan to open mobile counseling offices all over the country.
