Forum Dvorah: Women in National Security and Foreign Policy is a non-partisan, non-profit NGO with an active network of professional women in an array of fields relating to Israel’s national security and foreign policy. Forum Dvorah provides a critical organizational platform for leading Israeli women to work towards a more stable, gender-balanced democracy and a more egalitarian and inclusive society in the context of Israel’s presently male-dominated and militarized society. It has created a network of women who are leading figures in Israel on national security and foreign policy, and is supporting the development of the next generation of leadership among younger women in these fields. Established in 2015, Forum Dvorah is the only non-partisan, non-profit NGO in Israel that is focused and committed to actively promoting equitable representation for women in pivotal decision-making roles across national security, foreign policy and the broader public discourse. Our dedication addresses the notable gender gap in these critical arenas, recognizing that improved representation enhances Israel’s democratic values and contributes significantly to national security. With more than 230 members, Forum Dvorah develops a network of leading women in Israel in the fields of national security and foreign policy and supports the next generation of leadership among young women in these fields (Dvora 2.0 more than 120). The Forum is unique in terms of its goals and the make-up of its participants, who come from a variety of opinions and backgrounds, but who are all involved professionally with the security and political fields.
