Teach First Israel (TFI) is working to ensure that all children in Israel have access to a high-quality education that will enable them to choose their own future, regardless of their socioeconomic background. TFI recognizes that inequity in education is a complex problem that requires the energy and commitment of Israel’s most talented professionals. TFI’s solution is to infuse the Israeli education system with diverse, outstanding recent graduates and professionals -most of whom did not pursue a career in education- by training them to be teachers and leaders. After 9 cohorts, TFI has successfully trained over 1000 highly effective teachers, with 88% of alumni staying in the educational system. Part of the global Teach for All network, with 50 member states, TFI is a local organization rooted in a global network of educational change-makers.
