Shishi Shabbat Yisraeli (Israeli Weekend), founded in the Fall of 2010, is a vibrant national grassroots initiative by and for Russian-speaking Israelis in their 20’s and 30’s. We aim to build Jewish community and a clear sense of belonging among both new and veteran young Russian immigrants who moved to Israel, mostly without family over the past 15 years. Our programs strengthen Jewish and Israeli identity, encourage volunteerism, foster personal and intellectual growth and develop talented leadership and rooted young families for Israeli society and the Jewish People.
