The Shen Mishimon Association was founded in 1983 to establish and support Torah and Charity projects in Israel. The Association established the Or Hevon Yeshiva in Qiriat Arba in order to spread the Torah ideals of love for Am Israel and the Holy land of Israel. The students participate in a rabbinical, Talmudic, and juridical learning program and all receive a stipend. The Yeshiva campus also serves as a central synagogue for the neighborhood. Programs of the Yeshiva also include daily Torah study for ex-IDF soldiers, a Kollel for Rabbinical ordination, an institute for Baale Tshuva in the Zionist spirit, an institute for Jewish philosophy, a large Torah library, a Torah publication institute, and a charity organization.
