Sahar is an Internet-based emotional support service in Israel. Its trained volunteers and mental health professionals operate an array of programs to reach out to people in severe emotional distress, particularly those contemplating suicide. It provides diverse rescue activities in cases of clear and immediate danger through the Internet, including personal chat, e-mail support, outreach patrol, support services and forums. Sahar services are provided anonymously and free of charge by volunteers alone.
