The Remember and Save Association is a not-for-profit documentation center dedicated to collecting, preserving, and presenting historical materials on the Soviet Jewish movement for repatriation to Israel and the Western movement for Soviet Jewry (19671989). Founded in 2002 by former Soviet Jewish activists and refuseniks under the leadership of Aba Taratuta (Executive Director until his passing in 2023), the RSA was based in Haifa until its relocation to Jerusalem in 2024. Over more than two decades, the RSA has amassed original documents, trip reports, memoirs, interviews, and publications in Russian, English, and Hebrew materials that chronicle an epic struggle for freedom and cultural survival amid anti-Semitism. A significant portion is publicly available on our website. The RSA relies exclusively on private donations.
