Promised Land Shelters (PLS), also known as the Aliyah Return Center (ARC), is a registered Israeli non-profit humanitarian organization based in Tiberias, in the heart of the Galilee. Our mission is to empower Jewish new immigrants (Olim) and other vulnerable populations to integrate successfully, achieve independence, and build meaningful lives in Israel. Our core ongoing programs provide both immediate relief and long-term opportunities. We operate free daytime and evening Hebrew Ulpan classes to support language integration, alongside job training programs that equip immigrants with practical skills and, in select tracks, guaranteed employment. Through our New Immigrant Scholarship Fund, we provide full tuition support for higher education and professional studies. We also offer temporary housing through our Hospitality Villa for newly arrived families, and safe housing and comprehensive support for lone soldiers throughout their military service. PLS also runs vital community-based initiatives such as our Rimon & LiVracha Distribution Centers, which provide free clothing, furniture, and essential household goods, as well as our Food Voucher Program that ensures dignity through choice. Each year, our Back-to-School Project supplies hundreds of children with school bags and learning materials. We remain committed to supporting Holocaust survivors, veterans, and families in need through year-round assistance, cultural events, heritage tours, and identity-strengthening programs. Looking ahead, PLS is expanding with transformative programs planned for 2026, including a Municipal Innovation Center, an interactive Hebrew in Motion classroom, and a PTSD Soldiers’ Support House. All our programs are provided free of charge, made possible through dedicated staff, volunteers, and donors worldwide. Together, we are building sustainable pathways to dignity, opportunity, and belonging for Israel’s
