Established in 1983, Otot serves at-risk youth in Israel through a network of unique hostels for teenagers. The hostels are located throughout Israel and serve youth from severely disadvantaged backgrounds that are no longer able to live in their parental homes. While most of the hostels are co-ed, some are single gender, one hostel located in Arab neighborhood serves the Israeli-Arab population, and one located in Tel Aviv serves gay-lesbian youth. They are all last resorts for these youngsters and offer them a warm home, professional attention, and assistance towards rehabilitating their lives and building a positive and productive future.
