Olympic Committee of Israel

The Olympic Committee of Israel is the umbrella organization for all Olympic sports in Israel and is recognized by the International Olympic Committee as the National Olympic Committee of the State of Israel. The organization was established in 1933 as the Eretz Yisrael Olympic Committee and one year later was recognized by the International Olympic Committee. Reestablished in 1951, Israel was officially recognized by the International Olympic Committee in 1952, which also marked the first year an Israeli delegation participated in the Olympic Games that took place in Helsinki. At the Barcelona 92 Olympic Games Israel won it’s first Olympic medal and today after the Paris 2024 Israel has 20 Olympic medals. The LA2028 Project is an accelerator program for the Israeli Olympic teams, supporting their preparation for the LA 2028 Olympic Games. The Elite Sport Program in Israel has made great progress over the past 25 years. Today, we have the FUNNEL FOR SUCCESS. A system which develops Israel’s top athletes through an Olympic Preparation Methodology to create European, World and, Olympic Champions. Now, three years ahead of LA2028, it’s time to Move The Needle TOGETHER and build the most effective preparation program ever made for Israel’s talents. This program will ensure that we can compete with all other 205 Olympic Committees worldwide continue the momentum of Israel’s success at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Our goal is for LA 2028 to be the MOST AWARD-WINNING OLYMPICS & PARALYMPICS for the Israeli delegation. Para/Olympic Champions are unique ambassadors of the ISRAELI SUCCESS STORY.
