In 1983, Rabbi Shlomo Riskin founded the innovative Ohr Torah Stone network of educational institutions. They encompass leadership training programs, outreach initiatives and social action projects to promote a Judaism which adheres to Jewish law, ritual and tradition, yet is at the same time inclusive, compassionate and profoundly responsive to the challenges presented by the modern world. The mission of Ohr Torah Stone is to teach and disseminate a Judaism that is authentic and halachic, yet inclusive, compassionate and relevant. Our students, faculty and alumni in Israel and across the globe are imbued with this unique vision, motivated in their professional and daily lives by the OTS ideal of embracing and enlightening all humanity with the light and love inherent in our Torah.
