AJEEC-NISPED is an Arab and Jewish organization established in 2000 which seeks to support equal and thriving communities in the Negev, in Israel, and around the world that work together to promote peace and sustainable human development. The organization operates in three focus areas: Youth and Leadership Development, Arab-Jewish Partnership, and Community Resilience. AJEEC operates 40 localities and municipalities around Israel with 7,000 Arab youth organization members, 500 annual gap year participants, and major partnerships with local and national government bodies. What began as a Negev Bedouin organization has expanded into a national NGO that continues to center the community, and the local context, in its approach.
