Minhal Kehilati Eshkolot (Eshkolot Community Council) is a Public Benefit Corporation in Jerusalem that was established in 1970 with the aim of serving its surrounding community and catering to their various needs. Today, Minhal Kehilati Eshkolot serves ~50,000 people, mainly ultra-Orthodox, residents of eight Jerusalem neighborhoods under its jurisdiction: Shmuel Hanavi, Arazim HaBira, HaChoma HaShlishit, Beit Yisrael, Sanhedria, Sanhedria HaMurchevet, Ramat Eshkol, and Maalot Dafna. Minhal Kehilati Eshkolot operates a wide range of programs and departments, with the aim of providing its residents with basic and important needs. These include an Early Childhood Center that includes a Developmental Unit approved by the Ministry of Health, screening and intervention programs within early childhood education frameworks and various enrichment programs. A Children’s Center that operates various complementary informal education programs, after-school STEM and enrichment programs, summer camps, a learning center and more. A Youth Center overseeing and coordinating all youth-related activities, learning, enrichment, informal education, etc. as well as various at-risk youth prevention and intervention programs. A Senior Citizens Department that operates a wide range of services and activities for the senior population, including a daily morning club, various leisure, sport and culture activities, Holocaust survivors club and more. An Employment-Oriented Vocational Training Department that offers two main activities, a 2-year and 3-year professional certificate program with an employment placement service and The Ensemble – the School of Acting and Performing Arts for Ultra-Orthodox Women and Girls in Jerusalem.
