The Pa’ot (Infant) Center was established in 1993 in order to serve parents and infants in Tirat Carmel, many of which are new immigrants and are struggling with the difficulties of absorption in Israel. The Center aims to build the parents’ capacity to help their children and become active in their early education and focuses on preventing developmental-based problems and to identify and treat those problems as early as possible. The Center offers enrichment programs such as individual and group training programs for parents and their children/babies. The Center also runs a library with books and games, an infant nursery school, daycare center, baby-sitting course, birth preparation course, and other programs. In addition, the Center provides a variety of therapies.
