Masira Fund works to advance the rights, inclusion, and socio-economic integration of people with disabilities in Arab society in Israel. Through a holistic and community-based approach, Masira promotes equal access to higher education, employment, mental health support, and community participation. Fields of Work Higher Education Support: Scholarships, mentoring, and academic support for Arab students with disabilities. Employment & Workforce Integration: Career guidance, training, and employer partnerships to increase employment opportunities. Community Empowerment: Initiatives that build awareness, reduce stigma, and promote accessibility in Arab municipalities. Capacity Building & Leadership: Support for grassroots initiatives led by and for people with disabilities. Main programs: Mental Resilience Support Groups: provide tools for psychological resilience and support during emergencies. Offering a supportive environment for participants to receive emotional support, and learn to manage the stress of the current situation. Higher Education and mentoring program: A distinctive initiative offering personalized mentorship to Arab students with disabilities, empowering them to successfully integrate into academic life, and to the employment integration. Community Empowerment: Initiatives that build awareness, reduce stigma, and promote accessibility in Arab municipalities. Arab associations forum: To empower its 14 partner Arab non-profits associations, Masira also operates the Arab Associations Forum for People with Disabilities. The forum offers monthly capacity-building sessions and ongoing guidance from Masira’s project manager. Through this network, Masira reaches and supports tens of thousands of people with disabilities across Israel. Digital orientation program: Supported by the Ministry of Justice, this project offers digital skills courses for the third generation in the Arab community and people with disabilities through the Arab Associations Forum. Led by specialists, the courses teach computer, smartphone, tablet, and app use across Nazareth, Iksal, Ailut, Baqa, Kfar Qara, Tamra, and Al Mashhad. Recreational Activities for People with Disabilities: Masira runs nationwide recreational and cultural activities (including workshops, lectures, trips, and parties) that are fully adapted to the needs and disabilities of the participants to ensure maximum enjoyment and benefit. Disability Information Centers: Established in 2019 to create information centers in the Arab community. In cooperation with ” Joint Israel, Bader Fund and the Ministries of Social Welfare and Health, US embassy. The centers provide advice, information, and support on the rights of people with disabilities and their families. The project operates through existing family centers in 8 areas Nazareth, Kabul, Tamra, Tira, Triangle area, Al-Shaghur region and Galilee.
