Magen David Adom (MDA) was established in 1930 and provides general and emergency medical treatment and blood services throughout Israel. MDA instructs intructs teenagers, adults, and medical teams in the community and operates a national first responders unit, ambulances, mobile intensive care units, and blood mobiles. In addition, MDA is an auxiliary service of the IDF and over the years, has sent several dozens of humanitarian medical equipment and humanitarian aid missions to help victims of natural disasters in many parts of the world. These missions provide care for victims of earthquakes, drought, hunger, fires, airplane accidents, and terror attacks.
