Lo Omdot MeNegged was founded as a Facebook group in 2017 by Naama Goldberg and Atar Arzi and became a registered nonprofit organization in 2018. The Facebook group grew at an extraordinary rate and today counts almost 20,000 individuals who provide voluntary support to hundreds of prostitution survivors across Israel. Through this community, Lo Omdot MeNegged offers physical, emotional, and financial support that no other Israeli government office or organization offers. To date, we have assisted over 1,000 survivors; delivered furniture to more than 150 homes; financed the dental care of more than 80 survivors; and have been delivering 120 food packages per month. We have matched 50 trained volunteer mentors to 50 survivors within the framework of our You are not Alone project in order to provide ongoing emotional support and accompaniment to the survivors. In 2020, we carried out a successful pilot of a professional telephone/chat helpline for survivors of prostitution and are currently preparing to scale the program
