Living Dreams transforms personal loss into social impact by creating meaningful commemoration projects for the victims of October 7th and Operation Iron Swords fallen soldiers. Through each project, we help bereaved families continue their loved ones’ legacy while strengthening Israeli society. When Elia’s mother received his last phone call on October 7th at 9:10 AM, he was wounded and whispered, “They’re shooting at me.” Then silence. Elia’s passion for music inspired a professional DJ training program for at-risk youth, giving them hope and purpose while honoring his memory. Similarly, the family of Lavi, a 19-year-old IDF soldier who fell in Gaza, chose to honor his love for nature by building an accessible observation point in the Golan Heights. Now, every time they see a family with a child in a wheelchair enjoying the view, they know Lavi’s spirit continues to give. Our model includes working closely with bereaved families to create social projects that meaningfully reflect their loved ones’ character, values, or aspirations. Whether inspired by a specific dream or by the essence of who they were, each project is uniquely crafted to create lasting impact. We implement diverse initiatives including accessible community spaces, educational programs for vulnerable youth, and professional training courses. Currently guiding approximately 60 social commemoration projects, each initiative creates adouble impact: providing bereaved families with a meaningful way to honor their loved ones while generating positive social change in Israeli society. We believe that when one family rises to strengthen others despite their pain, we all grow stronger together.
