On October 7th, Hamas launched the largest assault on Israel in over 50 years. In fewer than 24 hours, more than 300,000 reservists had been mobilized in the largest call-up in the country’s history. We are an Israeli-registered non-profit launching the first-ever digital collection of reservists’ testimonies, capturing their honest and unfiltered experiences proximate to the actual events. We will make this content available to the public in Israel via podcasts designed to engage, connect, and inform citizens, decision-makers, and educators about the perspectives of the men and women who, overnight, left their ordinary lives and answered the call to arms. We are here to tell the everyday stories, the quiet moments that happen around the fire, the moments where fear and joy and camaraderie form an inextricable memory. These will be not only a gift to our historic consciousness, but also to the soldiers and their families. The testament and perspectives of the frontline soldiers are, historically, of critical value and oft missed in the early days of memory development. Inspired by Oral History projects from Yad Vashem, the Museum of the Jewish Soldier, 9/11 Memorial among many others, we are determined to capture this moment in history through the eyes of the men and women who left home to save the nation of Israel.
