Librael Liberal Israel is an Israeli NGO with a simple mission: to make the liberal case for Israel in liberal circles. Too many progressives believe they can’t or shouldn’t support Israel – we exist to change that. We’re strictly non-political: we don’t engage in elections, campaigns, or comment on legislation. Instead, we promote a pro-Israel vision that resonates with liberal values, using four main strategies: Congressional Outreach We bring rarely-heard Israeli voices directly to U.S. lawmakers – especially those not naturally inclined to support Israel. We’ve met with 26 members of Congress across 16 states and maintain ongoing relationships with dozens more. Training Through workshops and sessions, we’ve trained over 1,300 advocates in Israel and 10 U.S. states to speak confidently about Israel in progressive spaces – using values-based, strategic messaging. Narrative Building We challenge the false binary of support Israel uncritically vs. blame Israel entirely. Our newsletters (30%+ open rate), social media, and original content have reached tens of thousands of people, including over 400 in-person engagements with liberals and progressives who heard our vision of Pride and Progress. Education in Israel We’re the only NGO educating Israeli civil servants, IDF officers, and social leaders about the importance of bipartisan U.S.-Israel relations. Over 1,400 key figures have engaged with our insights and briefings.
