Kehilat Mevasseret Zion (Kamatz) is a Reform congregation and is led by Rabbi Maya Leibovich, the first Israeli born woman ordained in Israel. In addition to regular services for Shabbat and the holidays, Kamatz offers educational programs for adults and teens, a Beit Midrash, concerts, and movies with a discussion. All the holidays and memorial days are celebrated/commemorated in the synagogue and are joined by activities for the entire family. There are also special events geared to children, a preschool and kindergarten, and a community-based project where people exchange services. In addition, Kamataz reaches out to the community by providing assistance to families in difficult situations, contributing to social projects in the region, and more.
