Kedma – for Social and Educational Equality in Israel is a non-profit organization consisting of teachers, parents, academics and social activists who believe in education as a vehicle for personal and social change. The mission of the association is to open the door to equal education for disadvantaged communities in Israel. The association focuses on two areas: the first is the broad mission of promoting educational equality in Israel by training teachers and principals in Israel, developing unique study programs and operationg projects to encourage higher education among disadvantaged populations. The second is sustaining the work of Kedma’s flagship school in Jerusalem as a school-model which reduces academic gaps. Next year we will establish a high-quality elementary school in one of the poorest and most neglected neighborhoods in Israel.
