Kagan Trust runs the Kagan Learning and Social Support Centre (KLASS). KLASS is situated in and serves the Katamonim neighborhoods of Jerusalem, which are characterized by a low-level socio-economic population and in recent years have included a large number of poorly integrated families from Ethiopia. KLASS provides a safe after-school environment for children who might otherwise roam the streets, offers a support system and tutoring for children who are falling behind at school or who have study problems, functions as a bridge between the children, parents, and teachers in their efforts to advance the children’s education, and assists the parents in dealing with their own difficult life situations.
