Founded in 2016 by family members of individuals living with mental illness in Israel, we are the country’s only nonprofit of our kind – run entirely by volunteer family members supporting other families. We believe families are not bystanders in mental health treatment – they are an essential part of it, and deserve support in their own right. Our Vision A society where families and individuals coping with mental illness have access to an inclusive community and the best resources available – enabling them to thrive. Why We Exist Israel is home to an estimated 350,000 individuals living with mental illness, and roughly one million family members affected alongside them. Research confirms what we’ve seen firsthand: engaged, supportive families significantly improve treatment outcomes. We equip families with tools to cope, represent their voice, and advance their rights.
