ISAAC Israel is the Israeli branch of the international organization, the International Society for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), which has 17 branches worldwide. The organization’s goal is to improve the quality of life for children and adults whose speech is not effective enough to meet their communication needs and who require augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). The organization is a home for all those with an interest in AAC, including: People who use AAC and their family members, Professionals in allied health fields (such as speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists) The organization promotes policies to make necessary tools and services accessible for AAC user, strengthens the community of AAC users and other stakeholders, including families and professionals. Disseminates knowledge to AAC users, allies, and the public and advances virtual products to improve the quality of life for AAC users.
