Fund for Innovative Teaching

Established in 1971, the Fund for Innovative Teaching views kindergarten teachers and educators as the most important agents of change in education and encourages them to identify their students’ educational or social difficulties and to develop innovative responses. The Fund supports approximately 50 initiatives annually, provides multidimensional professional, moral, and financial support (consisting of an institutional grant, a personal stipend and, for some teachers also weekly teaching hours), and accompanies the innovators through the entire process of implementation. At the end of every school year each project is exhibited and documented. The Fund also creates circles that increase the exposure of the initiatives implemented with its support, develops social networks for the innovative teachers, and offers information and workshops.
