The organization’s objective is to utilize informal educational platforms like after-school programs and summer camps to foster multicultural awareness, promote education for shared life, and instill democratic values during early childhood. Currently, children are growing up within a segregated educational system, where secular, religious, ultra-orthodox, and Arab communities receive education separately. Such a segregated system poses challenges in teaching children shared life and multicultural sensitivity. In this context, it becomes imperative to expose children from an early age to different segments of society and actively foster a dialogue on mutual respect. Our organization seeks to address these issues by utilizing existing informal educational platforms, such as afterschool programs. Children aged 4 to 9 spend a significant 800 hours annually in these informal educational settings. Presently, these platforms primarily serve as a means for parents to accommodate their work schedules and lack substantial educational content. These informal educational platforms create a unique opportunity for teaching democratic values and nurturing an understanding of life in a multicultural society. We recognize the immense value of investing in early childhood education, as this is the critical period when children shape their social perspectives. The impact of such education at this stage is significantly higher, yielding a substantial return on investment compared to later stages. Our organization will introduce a comprehensive pedagogical framework for educational teams, accompanied by rigorous training, including on-site training. We are committed to ensuring the effective assimilation of this framework and will closely measure and evaluate our outcomes. Collaborating with both public and private institutions that operate afterschool programs, we aim to integrate our program into their offerings.
