The Israeli Scouts Movement is part of the World Organization of the Scout Movement and operates within the framework of “The Federation of Scouts in Israel.” Founded in 1919, it is the first, largest, and most influential youth movement in the country. The movement operates through local chapters informal educational spaces known as “tribes”and educates boys and girls from 4th to 12th grade, both secular and religious, in social and Zionist values. Today, the movement includes approximately 90,000 members in about 240 tribes spread across the country, from Kiryat Shmona in the north to Eilat in the south.
