Haverut aims to promote a healthy society in Israel, by strengthening the connection between the healthy and the sick; the therapist and the patient; the community and the Medical Center. We believe in the healing power of the Arts, the language of spirituality, and in human connection as resources for healing and growth. Haverut works to promote the medical center as a space that heals the body, spirit and soul of every person who enters its gates. Haverut was established in memory of Ruth Ettun z”l, who passed away from Cystic Fibrosis at the age of eleven and a half. In 2007, ten years after her death, Haverut was founded by Ruth’s mother Rachel Fox-Ettun, a family therapist specializing in work with families coping with chronic illness, loss and bereavement. Rachel is a leading figure in the field of spiritual care in Israel. Since Haverut’s foundation we have touched thousands of lives and received recognition from major hospitals across the country.
