Haverim LeRefuah provides voluntary assistance to the sick and disabled in Israel with no discrimination between race, religion and nationality. Its services include helping pay for expensive treatment and medicines, raising awareness, and providing legal aid. It has a medication recycling program where it makes direct connections between patients in need of life-saving medications and those who have them but no longer need them. Volunteers also pay visits to the ill in hospitals to provide companionship and help ill students with their academic work. Haverim also offers activities and trips for children in hospitals and a summer camp for children who are sick and handicapped.
