Kehilat Har-El is a vibrant and active community of Reform Israelis in Jerusalem that also attracts many toursits from abroad and was established in 1958 as the founding congregation of the Israel Movement for Progressive Judaism. In addition to religious services, Har-El offers a preschool for children, Bar/Bat Mitzvah preparation workshops, and adult education classes. It is committed to the surrounding community through social justice projects, educational initiatives with local schools, and in the in the field of inter-religious dialogue.
