Hamifal is a network of Children’s Homes and Villages throughout Israel, providing homeless children and children at risk with a warm loving home and an educational and rehabilitative program, in order to help them work their way up to become independent and useful members of society. Hamifal stands for its educational model according to which its frameworks are run. Its “Educational Family Model”, so called, is based on two major principles: The first- Placing the child in the center of attention, thus putting a clear emphasis on the child’s personality and happiness. The second- Providing the child with an opportunity to grow up in an imitation of a family setting environment, which creates a remedial experience and an emotionally stable environment, that are so important for the child.
