HAMA ISRAEL is a small Israeli NGO, founded in 1997. We are among the pioneering organizations in Israel in Animal Assisted Intervention programs and are committed to both human and animal welfare alike through our AAI (Animal Assisted Intervention) programs in therapy and education. Our organization works exclusively in the public sector in partnership with schools, social services, and other non- profit organizations. Since The October 7 War, we have focused our attention upon children and families from communities within close proximity to Gaza. Animal rescue and rehabilitation are also a vital part of our program. Many of the animals we rescue from abuse and abandonment have in turn enriched many human lives suffering the effects of physical and psychological trauma.
