The mission of the Halichot Chaim Center, established in 2001, is to share the beauty of Torah with unaffiliated Jews through a multitude of programs geared toward youth, men, and women in Rehovot and around. The organization supports and guides at-risk youth, helps enroll children into Torah schools, facilitates the return of young men and women to their Jewish roots, and more. Our programs include: Supporting and nurturing immigrant families, low income families, and displaced person families Arranging Shabbats all together with delicious meals and lectures Kollel learning: Full day, night kollels, for pensioners, and for working people Beit midrash for at risk teenagers, and post-army, in Rehovot and around. Lectures in Russian, around 250 participants. Midrash for those taking their first tentative steps in gemara. Learning Centers for women, lectures, workshops on the Jewish home, Jewish Law, Jewish Thought Guidance for parents, and tutoring and enrichment programs for students. Weekly workshops on education, organizing the Jewish home. Fathers + sons learning program Jewish library for children -thousands of books lent out every week.
