The Israel Nature and Heritage Foundation is a voluntary association founded to help the Israel Nature and Parks Authority (INPA) in its important tasks of protecting Israel’s nature, landscapes and heritage. Nature protection The Israel Nature and Heritage Foundation facilitates the INPA’s work in protecting Israel’s biodiversity, conserving marine habitats and their native species, as well as protecting landscapes through assistance to the INPA’S Open Space Project. Heritage Another important activity is the restoration and conservation of cultural heritage sites, mainly those that have universal significance to all cultures and religions. Furthermore, the Israel Nature and Heritage Foundation assists the Israel Nature and Parks Authority in order to protect its extremely significant historical sites, such as its UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Masada, Tel Megiddo, and others.
