Hadar – The Association for the Elderly and Pensioners in Netanya** is a nonprofit organization founded in 1979 to enhance the quality of life, dignity, and independence of Netanya’s elderly population. Working in partnership with the Municipality of Netanya, Israel’s Ministry of Social Welfare and Health, the National Insurance Institute, and other public agencies, Hadar provides comprehensive, high-quality services that enable older adults to remain active members of their families and communities for as long as possible. Hadar operates three adult day centers serving approximately 180 older adults each day, including frail seniors and individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Services include daily transportation, nutritious meals, personal care assistance, and individualized therapeutic, social, and recreational programs. Participants benefit from a wide range of activities, including physiotherapy, movement and art therapy, music, yoga, gardening, cognitive stimulation, and social engagement programs tailored to their physical, emotional, and cognitive needs. A dedicated multidisciplinary team of social workers, nurses, therapists, and trained caregivers closely monitors each participant’s wellbeing and continually adapts services to meet their evolving needs, helping older adults maintain independence, social connection, and the highest possible quality of life.
