Golan Community Center is the social and educational backbone of Israel’s Golan Heights a strategic rural region on the country’s northeastern border. Serving 22,000 residents across 33 remote communities, we lead culture, informal education, youth leadership, sports, and enrichment initiatives for all ages, including individuals with special needs. As the heart of community life in the Golan, we cultivate belonging, Jewish and Israeli identity, intergenerational continuity, and personal excellence strengthening the resilience of families who choose to build their lives on Israel’s frontier. The Golan borders Syria and lies near Lebanon and Jordan, facing ongoing security challenges. During the 2023 2025 war, it was the only Israeli northern border region that remained fully inhabited despite rocket and drone attacks and heavy casualties. Investing in community life here is therefore both a social commitment and a strategic one sustaining a strong and resilient northern frontier.
