Food for the Disadvantaged collects and distributes vital food supply to families and individuals who don’t have access to the minimum quantity of food necessary to sustain a healthy life in the Tel Aviv, Rehovot, and Dan Metropolis areas. The organization also works with the project “Anchor for Life” by providing food for the at-risk children who are taken to the Sea of Galilee for boating. In addition, Food for the Disadvantaged, together with Gesher, brings secular and religious high school students together to do volunteering work for the organization. There is also another project, in accordance with Nitzan and other organizations, where people with learning disabilities volunteer at Food for the Disadvantaged.
