Et La’asot (“Time to Take Action”) is a non-profit organization run by thousands of volunteers all over Israel. It was established by Rabbi Yossi Munk in 2006. In 1995 his son Boaz was born with a severe case of cerebral palsy, and they were blessed to be able to raise him and to grow along with him. Raising a child with special needs is not easy. In fact, it is extremely challenging, but it is also a privilege. In 2006, he decided to contribute his experience, and mainly the inspiration that they derive from their special son, to the community of special needs children. He founded Et La’asot, with the goal of connecting to this community and doing something truly significant on their behalf. The vision of our organization is to provide a home that embraces, supports and strengthens children with special needs and their families. Et La’asot strives to be a national center for the social care of children with special needs and their families. We believe in the power of youth to initiate change, and to lead and promote volunteer projects in communities. Teenagers bring with them unique energy and vitality, joy and lack of preconceptions.
