ESRA – English Speaking Residents Association

ESRA was formed in 1979 and aims to assist the integration of English speaking families and new immigrants into Israeli society by providing social, cultural, educational and civic activities. ESRA also seeks to encourage English speakers to volunteer in the community and initiate and run projects in the community to aid immigrants from distressed countries and other disadvantaged sectors of Israeli society. ESRA provides scholarships, many different educational opportunities, and programs that offer financial help, basic necessities, and financial aid for the treatment of breast cancer. There are also a few centers that focus on helping those with special needs. In addition, ESRA offers a multitude of support groups and study groups, courses, lectures, and social clubs that all cover a range of topics.
