Engineers Without Borders-Israel (EWB-IL), an Israeli non-profit organization established in 2008 to improve lives through human-centered engineering projects, with a particular focus on helping vulnerable communities in developing countries to meet their basic human needs and thrive. The engineering community has a critical role to play in solving global challenges, and a responsibility to serve people and the planet. Our aim is to support community-driven development programs by designing and implementing sustainable engineering projects that address issues such as water, sanitation and food insecurity. Our international endeavors build local expertise, are accountable to local leadership, and train local stakeholders to ensure knowledge transfer and sustainability.
