Established in 1994, Enav – Encouragement for Youth in Distress provides residential, educational, and therapeutic services to adolescences at risk that have been removed from their homes by the social welfare services and court order, due to severe abuse, neglect, and delinquency. Enav runs Home groups (Hostels) that provide these adolescences with the services. The teenagers are integrated in the normative community life (attend public schools, are partly employed, etc.) and at the same time are supervised and guided by a well skilled, professional team. Enav also operates groups of adolescences in seven governmental institutions, which belong to the welfare ministry. In addition, Enav manages a few therapeutic-educational projects.
