Our Mission: DROR’s goal is to help teenage girls find their path to success. Through academic intervention and athletic pportunities, DROR provides girls with the tools and encouragement they need to meet and overcome life challenges. Our Program: DROR is currently in operation at three area schools. Students are selected based on input from teachers, guidance counselors and principals. Participating girls are offered a custom-tailored program combining after-school scholoastic tutoring and athletic training, as well as bi-weekly volunteer activities. Activities including hip hop dance classes, tennis, running and more, and einforce the roles fitness and teamwork play in the positive development of young women. Summer Camp In addition to providing extracurricular tutoring and sports throughout the scholastic year, DROR offers a two-week summer camp experience for girls. The program provides additional athletic opportunities, including tennis, yoga, zip lining and a rope obstacle course. Each activity is meant to challenge girls to succeed. Success improves a girl’s self-worth and motivates her to set ever-higher goals. An additional emphasis on volunteerism and involvement further encourages girls to reach out, make friends, discover inner strengths, find the motivation to improve and build the self-confidence that will help them succeed throughout their lives.
